The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an English language proficiency test jointly administered by UCLES (Cambridge University), The British Council, and IDP Australia. IELTS is one of the most widely accepted English language proficiency tests, and it is commonly selected by students who intend to study or work in an English-speaking country. Your IELTS level is determined by four categories: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Each ability gets its own score, and the overall score ranges from 0 to 9, with 0 being the lowest and 9 being the highest. The IELTS test lasts around 2 hours 45 minutes and includes hearing, reading, and writing. And a separate speaking test lasting around 10 minutes depending on the examiner. The results are available in around 13 days. The band requirements may vary according on the degree and universities you've chosen.
